Tim Eckerle of Grant Co Growth joins

Indiana Statewide CDC’s Board of Directors

Tim Eckerle, Executive Director of the Grant County Economic Growth Council, has been elected to the board of Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corporation.

Indiana Statewide CDC works with local lenders, including banks, to provide loans to small business owners from the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 loan program. Total loans made to small business owners by Indiana Statewide CDC in 2015 reached more than $27 million, ranking first among SBA 504 lenders in Indiana. The loans were provided to 40 different projects, saving or creating 508 jobs in Indiana (133 jobs are retained, 375 are new).

Eckerle says, “I am honored to join the Indiana Statewide CDC board. Statewide has a tradition of being a real asset to the  businesses and lenders in Grant County all have profited from this great program over the years. Personally my goal for agreeing to join the board is to increase Grant County’s participation in order to bring more economic activity to our area.”

Eckerle is one of three new members of the Indiana Statewide CDC’s 16-person board. He will serve a three-year term. Elected with Eckerle were: Kevin Knipp of Fifth Third Bank, Indianapolis; and Amber VanTil of the Indiana Bankers Association. Dan Fehrenbach of Western Indiana Financial in Terre Haute was re-elected to a three-year term.
