Small Business Assistance Center

The Grant County Economic Growth Council is a founding member of the Innovative Network. This joint venture of Ivy Tech Community College, Taylor University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Affordable Housing Corporation, Marion Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Grant County SCORE Chapter, Project Leadership, and the Indiana Small Business Development Center.

The Innovative Network partners offer free and low-cost information, management counseling, and educational services to small business owners and potential entrepreneurs. These services are provided either in small group settings or on a one to one basis. Meetings with the Innovative Network are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month.

In 2010, the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development presented a $75,000 USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant to the Grant County Economic Growth Council Wednesday. The Grant will go towards the Growth Council's Revolving Loan Fund for local businesses, which was started in '08 through the USDA's previous RBEG grant of $100,000.
