Huhtamaki Marion Operations Earns Top Honor from Dollar General

The Grant County Economic Growth Council is proud to celebrate Huhtamaki’s Marion Operations team, which has been honored as Dollar General’s Private Label Vendor of the Year! This prestigious award was presented at Dollar General’s annual General Merchandising and Supply Chain Summit.

Huhtamaki’s Retail team has earned a reputation for design excellence—consistently recognized by Dollar General as the best in class. Through their strong partnership, Huhtamaki has expanded its share of Dollar General’s pressboard business to well over 50%, contributing an estimated $14 million in incremental sales this half alone.

Scott Spayd, National Account Manager, and Ann O’Hara, President North America, visited Marion Operations to present the award. From innovative seasonal designs for paper plates and plastic Quad Cups to flexible production capabilities, Huhtamaki’s cross-functional teams at Marion and Coleman facilities played an essential role in achieving this success.

“This is a real point of difference between our business and all others,” Spayd said. “Our goal is to put products on the shelf that visually attract the shopper, making the decision easy and fun. It’s part of what makes it fun for the consumer—and fun for us, too.”

Congratulations to Huhtamaki and the entire Retail team for their dedication, collaboration, and commitment to excellence. Their continued growth highlights the importance of strong industry partnerships and innovative product development in Grant County.
