Marion Health to Hold Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Open House Today at New Family Medicine Residency Clinic Location
Marion, IN – Marion Health officials will hold a red-carpet event, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and open house at the new location of the of the Family Medicine Residency Clinic located at 1411 W. Bella Drive today, July 21, at 12:15 p.m.
The new location allows for the expansion of the clinic to accommodate these incoming 1st year Family Medicine Residents representing the class of 2029. The celebration is open to the public, and attendees will be able to meet the new providers during the red-carpet event as well as tour the new facility following a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Please join Marion Health officials in welcoming the six new residents, bringing the program to full capacity for a total of 18 family medicine residents to serve Grant County and the surrounding communities.
A Family Medicine Residency Clinic is a healthcare facility that is associated with a teaching hospital or medical school. It serves as a training ground for future family medicine doctors, known as residents. These residents are fully licensed physicians who are completing additional training in family medicine under the supervision of experienced faculty physicians. In a residency clinic, the primary goal is to provide comprehensive care to patients while also allowing residents to gain valuable experience in managing a wide range of medical conditions. This educational focus means that your care may involve input from multiple providers, including resident physicians, attending physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
