Charity Bailey has been named the new executive director of the Grant County Economic Growth Council starting in 2022. Bailey, who currently works as the senior director for economic business development at the organization, will take over for Tim Eckerle when he retires at the end of the year.

Weaver Popcorn, located in Van Buren, IN is planning to hire 100 new employees by June 30, 2021. With three locations between Indiana and Pennsylvania and expanding services, the family-owned company is offering a great benefit package and competitive hourly wage to fill the open positions.

In 1984 when the Growth Council was brand new, Agricor was the very first attraction project with the organization. Agricor started with two guys out of Elkhart who had an idea and three employees.

St. Martin Community Center located in Marion is passionate about caring for the Grant County community. Since 1967, St. Martin Community Center’s staff and volunteers have served meals to those in need.

Earlier this year, Wiley Metal completed a modernization project that included equipment for meeting the needs of industrial customers.
